MSX Summer Camp 2021: REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 1 at 10:00am!

Middlesex Camp is excited to be back beginning on June 21, 2021!

The camp features recreational activities including arts and crafts, science and nature, sports and other organized games, weekly theme-related activities, and special events.  Our youngest campers will be offered swim lessons at least 3 times a week, while older campers will have paddle and tennis lessons and daily free swim.    

The philosophy of the camp remains low key summer fun, giving the children a taste of the many different activities the club has to offer, but also a time to simply play and build friendships. Middlesex tennis, paddle and swim programs offer clinics for children of all ages and abilities. You may contact the pros directly for further information.

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS – Tent assignments are subject to change based on registrations

    • Tent 1: Preschool through rising 1st graders  *Preschool campers must have completed a 3’s program and be 4 years old by December 31st 2021 and entering either a 4’s or a pre-K program in fall 2021*
    • Tent 2: Rising 1st through 3rd graders
    • Tent 3: Rising 3rd through 5th graders
  • HOURS

Preschool PeeWees: Daily 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
   *Optional Extended Day: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm for an additional charge of $10 per day

Rising Kindergarten-5th graders: Daily 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

CAMP SESSIONS

Camp registration is for week-long sessions beginning June 21st (start date is subject to change according to the DPS calendar). Each session is a five-day program. In order to ensure proper COVID safety measures, Summer 2021 will have limited capacity and a lottery system may be used.  Please only register for weeks you fully intend to participate in! 

 

DROP-IN POLICY

Drop-in policy is subject to change due to COVID safety measures. Policies will be communicated as they are finalized. 

 

ALLERGY INFORMATION

This information is for children with life threatening allergies that require an epi-pen/Benadryl.

Please have your Doctor fill out the required Doctors prescriber form, sign and date and send in with your camp forms.

Plan to meet with the Camp Director and First Aid Director prior to your child starting camp to go over their management plan. We will meet before camp starts.

The epi-pen and Benadryl need to be their original boxes. Please check expiration dates. Please provide a manila envelope with your child’s photo and instructions of your child’s specific management plan. The envelope will be kept in the main office in a drawer with a large red cross on it. You may keep your child’s medication there throughout the summer.

We do not a have nurse on site but we have qualified staff who are CPR/First Aid trained and who are also trained in the application of the epi-pen and oral medications.

In the event your child has an allergic reaction your child will be cared for by the appropriate staff in the office until the emergency services arrive. We will also contact you immediately.

All lunches prepared by the snack bar for camp are all nut free. We require that any parent that sends in a snack or lunch which contains peanut butter/nuts must label it. Those children will be seated away from any children with  serious allergies.

 

ONLINE CAMP REGISTRATION

Camp registration begins soon and ends June 1st on the ActiveWorks website. (This link will NOT work until registration is officially open at 10:00am on Monday, March 1.) If a tent/pod is full, you will be placed onto a waiting list. Please be respectful and only register for the weeks you really want. If your plans change, please take your child off that week.

Please do NOT elect the coverage/insurance option through Active. This is not provided by MSX – we do not recommend it and we cannot provide refunds for it! 

Once camp begins, we are happy to add additional weeks for your child throughout the summer. Please understand that camp enrollment fills up quickly. If you would like to sign your child up for a week that is filled, you will be put on a waiting list.

Any changes to a week you have registered for after June 1st will be subject to 50% of your child’s week’s cost.

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover will be accepted. At the time of registration, 100% of the registration fee will be collected. Note that American Express is accepted even though the logo does not appear. 

 

ADDITIONAL CAMP FORMS

After registration, you will be asked to complete the following:

1 – Emergency Form

2 – A copy of your child’s medical form – completed, signed and dated by your pediatrician

3 – Permission for sunscreen form

Once registered, click on “My Programs” to complete forms online. Medical forms must be submitted prior to the start of camp – NO child will be admitted to the camp without a current medical form. This is a health and safety issue for the well-being of your child and the other children in camp. We will not compromise the staff’s ability to deal with a medical emergency without proper records on each child.  There is absolutely no exception to this rule.
